Last week I was on holiday in Croatia, a small island when I did this self-portrait.

The concept behind this image is the old and the new type of the ideal man opposed in one picture. The fisherman, who brings food for his family at dawn vs. the dapper macho who spends all his money to be attractive and receive more and more women.

I wanted to show this absurd situation in a heroic fashion style photo.

_{(I never thought that I will ever stand in front of the camera, but on an uninhabited island, where there are no models, you have to do everything!)}

And yes. The octopus and the eel was 100% real!!!

This is a really clever idea for a self-portrait and also for a study of "people" I guess you could say. It is rather interesting how our idea of the ideal man has changed over the years. The splash of water where your foot is coming up looks really cool and there's just...something about this pose that looks really, really cool but...almost absurd at the same time! Great work!
